Install Fedora Core 7 X64 on Intel GM965 computer without CDROM drivers

the newest fedora core is version 7, but the X64 version can not installed on intel 965 chipset by DVDROM. maybe because Intel 965 has SATA CDROM drive which fedora core has no built in driver.
anyway i tried other way and installed the X64 fedora core 7. it can be installed by using a USB DISK. i placed the ISO file on a USB disk and boot from the first CD. while choosing the install source. point it to the usb disk which the installation disk images exist. the installation went smoothly.

why the fedora core 7 X64 don't have integrated CDROM driver built in for Intel 965 chipset? i am confused.
